How is Your Core Confidence?

By the time you receive this, it will be a day after the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  In light of what is going on in the world… (yes, every sector is being affected),

I want to ask you, how is your core confidence?

Are you one of the lion-hearted or is your heart melting because of fear?

If you take this message to heart, I believe it will help strengthen you as it did me.

May I share from Isaiah 44?

1YET NOW hear, O Jacob, My servant and Israel, whom I have chosen.

2Thus says the Lord, Who made you and formed you from the womb, Who will help you:

Fear not,

O Jacob, My servant, and you Jeshurun, ...whom I have chosen.

3For I will pour water upon him who is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground. I will pour My Spirit

upon your offspring, and My blessing upon your descendants.

4And they shall spring up among the grass like willows or poplars by the watercourses.

5One will say, I am the Lord’s; and another will call himself by the name of Jacob; and another will write [even brand or tattoo] upon his hand, I am the Lord’s, and surname himself by the [honorable] name of Israel.

(For concerned parents… this is great news so far!!

But keep reading!)

6Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God….

8Fear not, nor be afraid [in the coming violent upheavals]; have I not told it to you from of old and declared it? And you are My witnesses! Is there a God besides Me? There is no [other] Rock; I know not any.

The next passages continue to address how false idols only bring confusion, chaos, and worthlessness. They profit us nothing.

I am convinced that these days we need to strengthen our hearts in such a way like none before.  Our core confidence has to that of a mighty warrior. (yes, this coming from the girl who just wants to have fun!)

This happens when we are whole-hearted toward God, our identity, and the passionate purpose for which we are created.

Recently it has been discovered by brain scientists that whole-heartedness actually changes our brain cells – our mindset!

Double-minded thinking always leads to instability, unreliability, and uncertainty.   We can not afford that.

So, I guess I am challenging you today.

Take this request before the Lord…

“Lord, please bring to light any thing in my heart and mind that creates doubt, anxiety, and fear.   I desire to be whole-hearted toward You, Your promises, and Your purposes.  Show me my passionate purpose for which You created me. Thank you.”

Take a stand against doubt, no matter how it looks out there.  God has a way.  He always has a way.  We just need eyes to see it.

Love,

Maryann
